BUDDING ARTISTS INVITED TO SUBMIT THEIR PORTRAYALS OF THE QUEEN TO JOIN PLATINUM JUBILEE LONDON EXHIBITION
Aspiring artists are invited to submit their portrayals of HM Queen Elizabeth II for a summer exhibition in London to mark the Platinum Jubilee. The most impressive works will be selected to be part of ART SAVE THE QUEEN, a celebratory exhibition to coincide with the Queen’s Jubilee this summer. Budding artists selected from the open call will see their work displayed alongside established artists such as Mr Brainwash and Alison Jackson, as well as across prominent poster sites on the London Underground.
ART SAVE THE QUEEN will open 2–12 June at gallery@oxo on London’s South Bank. Portrayals of HM Queen Elizabeth II by 52 established and emerging international artists will be showcased in the free exhibition as Britain celebrates the monarch’s 70 remarkable years on the throne. Mr Brainwash, Alison Jackson, James Mylne, Darren Coffield, Elmo Hood, Pure Evil and Scarlett Raven are just some of the artists whose work will be featured in the exhibition, curated by Ad Lib Gallery.
Ad Lib Gallery is inviting additional artists to create and submit their own personal portrayals of the Queen. Works selected for ART SAVE THE QUEEN will be featured on prominent poster sites at Victoria Station from 30 May for four weeks and on public exhibition at the gallery@oxo from 2–12 June 2022.
Ad Lib Gallery’s Dylan Roberts comments, “HM Queen Elizabeth II is a true icon and an inspiration to people everywhere. We are so excited to pay tribute to her with this exhibition and have been overwhelmed by the work the artistic community is submitting, underlining what a cultural inspiration the Queen is. We were very keen to open this up to the public and consider work from budding artists out there who are also excited to be part of the Jubilee celebrations.”
For further details and information about how to submit work, please visit https://adlib.online. The closing date for submissions is 22 April 2022.
