Gallery70 has the pleasure to present Street Story by Shpetim Kercova , 13-28 August 2020 / Online Exclusive on Artsy.
This exhibition focuses on artworks created by the artist during 2020 exploring the theme of street dogs.
“The presence of dogs on the streets of the city has always attracted my attention.
I am attracted by the forms of their  shapes in relation to the urban landscape. I am attracted by their energy and their movement for survival.
Invasion of  streets by herds of dogs sometimes aroused in me a feeling of fear and anxiety.
In my earlier works  I have treated the figure of the dog as  part of another subject. In this series the dog becomes the principal subject of the artwork , distributed over the entire surface of the composition.
In general it is caught in profile and heading somewhere , dominating the entire surface of the flat street, where the viewer will note the lineaments and some thrown pieces of paper laying down together with some plants that sprout somewhere.”
