To Keep Us Human: Our Hearts Beat the Same, an international online solo painting exhibition by Percy Kleinops, opens on September 15, and will continue through October 15, 2022.
Percy Kleinops; painter, photographer and poet is compelled to create, capture and write. Writing narratives and often a poem for most of paintings and photography, Percy wishes the viewer to first experience art visually and then follow the words as a part of their visual experience.

Percy was born in Riga, Latvia – Claims Indianapolis, IN as hometown and now lives in Tarpon Springs, FL
An Artist and Poet, he began his artist’s journey with digital art transitioning to acrylics and oil on canvas and now has added digital photography. His works have a unique style which includes narrative expressionism, abstract and impressionism.
Percy’s life journey includes law, law enforcement, volunteer fireman, entrepreneur, and a pioneer in the sustainable/organic food service industry. HIs work and insights as an artist and poet are the sum total of his life’s journey. He finds inspiration from the works of Mark Rothko and J.M.W. Turner; and the poetry of Walt Whitman.
Honored Canadian Artist Charles Ponee encouraged his transition from digital art to acrylic on canvas. His studio partner, artist/instructor Suzanne Elizabeth Murphy, was his instructor for two years and ignited his transition to paint with oils and write poetry. She continues to inspire Percy to reach for perfection.
Percy published his first book of poems with digital art, “To Keep Us Human” in 2018 and is completing his second book of poems with art, “Our Hearts Beat the Same”.
