She Made Her Alter Red, an international online solo art exhibition by Juliana Pepper, opens on August 15 and will continue through September 15, 2022.
Talented Juliana Pepper tells her visual stories through experimental video, video installation, sculpture, writing, and narration. In her unique way of art she uses found and recycled waste, organic and inorganic materials. She also uses video and installation to capture performance, explore non-linear narratives, and create spaces of restorative possibilities.
Her art explores themes of memory, transgenerational trauma, gender, and mental health. Through storytelling and historical research, she considers modes of healing that restore connection to culture, place, and land.
