Energies of Existence: An Exhibition by Jack Farkas

Jack Farkas, a luminary in the world of art, was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and displayed an affinity for the arts from a tender age. His early realization of a profound love for art set the stage for an extraordinary life that would thereafter orbit around creativity. During his formative years, Farkas was fortunate to have the guidance and encouragement of his Godparents, who played pivotal roles in nurturing his burgeoning interest. Farkas boasts an impressive educational pedigree with a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, an MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and further graduate studies at Bradley University. His academic pursuits also led him to NYU, where he delved into Art History, Art Restoration, Art Identification, and Art Law. An advocate for preserving history through art, Farkas actively contributed to the recovery of Holocaust art plundered during World War II, collaborating with a slew of eminent museum heads and art authorities.

His academic and professional journey encompasses a wide spectrum of artistic disciplines—painting, printmaking, lithography, etching, woodcuts, serigraphy, calligraphy, pottery, and many more.
