Water Works, an international online solo painting exhibition by Rick Lundsten, opens on December 1, 2024, and will continue for two months until February 1, 2025.
"Water Works" celebrates the natural harmony between water, art, and life through the stunning watercolor paintings of Rick Lundsten. Inspired by the diverse landscapes of Minnesota and beyond, Rick's work captures the dynamic essence of water in its many forms—rivers rushing beneath ancient bridges, the stillness of harbors, or the drama of a stormy sea. I started painting in my high school years, and my interests have continued to grow from there. I have commissioned for several private collectors. I have displayed and sold a number of original limited edition prints and open-ended prints. I have put on private shows throughout Minnesota. Several galleries have represented my work. I have been in several juried shows, including Through My Eyes Art Show, NorthStar Watermedia National Exhibition, Bayfront Art Show, Arts in Harmony 2018/2019 International Show, 2020 NorthStar Watermedia National Juried Art Exhibition, and was also featured in the September 2021 Edition of the Artistonish Magazine. I have won many awards—second Place in the 7th Congressional District's “Artistic Discovery” Program’s Show. The painting was displayed in Congressman Arlan Stangeland’s. I won the Holbein Award, Hahnemule Award, Art and Frame Award, Minnesota Watercolor Society Award, Second Place, and People’s Choice Award at the Artists of Minnesota Show.
