Artist:
I received my MFA from American University, Washington, DC in 1990. The University featured my painting in The Graduate Review. Then, I was hired as Adjunct Art Faculty at Scottsdale Community College from 1992-2008 and, simultaneously taught at the Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix, AZ as the instructor of their new Studio Art Program from 1996- 2002. I also became a juried member awarded by Arizona Watercolor Association in 1992. I was appointed to The Phoenix Arts Commission as a Commissioner from 1990-1998. The commission is now called "City of Phoenix Arts & Culture Commission". I have used my art talents in many community activities, as the chairperson of the decorations committee for the Make a Wish Foundation Ball in 1998 and was a contributing artist for Free Arts of Arizona, an organization that helps children who face abuse, in 2002. I served as the judge for the Sixth Annual City of Phoenix "Neighborhoods That Work" Exhibition in 1995 and have won multiple juried art exhibits throughout my career.
