With the exhibition "Chair de Temps" (The Flesh of Time), curated by Amélie Adamo, the gallery offers a unique perspective on the work of our artists (Catherine Balet, Renato D'Agostin, Ralph Gibson, Yannig Hedel, Hideyuki Ishibashi, Rémi Noël, Thomas Paquet, Thierry Urbain), brought together for the occasion alongside a selection of guest artists (Damien Cadio, Sylvain Ciavaldini, Gregory Derenne, Mathieu Dufois, Youcef Korichi and Axel Roy).

All these artists, be they photographers, painters or graphic artists, share the same desire to constantly push the limits of their medium a bit further. Whether they use photography as their favourite means of expression or divert it in a practice of drawing and painting, their work question the function of 'reproduction' of the image in order to better explore what makes the density of its body and its memory.

Renewing the art of portraiture and landscaping in singular languages, the works selected explore, in turns, haziness, fracturing, erasing, blurriness, superimposition, imprinting, traces, and appearing, thus reactivating the subversive status of the work of art, in what makes it stand up to the appearances of reality and engage with the imaginary, in what makes it widen perspectives, question, reveal, amaze and worry.

The question of time and the embodiment of making remains an essential thread for these artists who explore the various possibilities of matter and light. In their creations, the presence of the body operates to different degrees, through gestures, through direct or indirect imprinting. A corporeality that passes through a physical work on the materials but also through the sensuality of the mediums and textures used, in the same way that the passage of time, materialized by the light, infuses the work with its sensual, moving and fragile beauty.
There is, in this aura of the work, in the poetry incarnated, a profoundly human force that resists the diktat of the machine and the vain perfectibility of mechanical reproducibility.
This exhibition is made possible thanks to the collaboration of Galerie Bertrand Grimont, Galerie C, Galerie Sator et Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve.
