SEA Foundation Tilburg proudly presents the work of Australian artist Sally Tape is. The artist has showed regularly in Australia, and this is her first show in Europe. Tape created new works in which she reflects on the physical space of architecture and contemporary screen culture. The tension between form, structure and movement, or, between figures, architecture and people, plays an important role. Her paintings and drawings depict contrasts between structures and patterns, which refer to reduced shapes of fleeting images from screens and the urban world.
Sally Tape lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. In 2006 she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Monash University in Melbourne. The university also supported her education in Prato, Italy. Over the past 12 years her work has been shown throughout Australia. Her oeuvre includes paintings, collages, drawings and sculptures, and pieces by her hand are found in numerous Australian private collections. Sally Tape has received several public contracts for in-situ murals, and in 2017 she won the Knox City Council Art Prize.
