THE TIME-KEEPER

Try to imagine a life  without timekeeping. You presumably can't. You know the month, the year, the day of the week. There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your vehicle. You have a timetable, a schedule, a period for supper or a film.
 
However surrounding you, timekeeping is overlooked. Birds are not late. A dog doesn't actually take a look at its watch. Deer don't worry over passing birthday celebrations. An alone measures time. Man alone tolls the hour and, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running.

Sometimes, I wish time could speed up, slow down or stop.
But then, how profitable do I utilise the gift of twenty-four  hours ??
Am I  a TIME-KEEPER?
