Presenting new work from Nicholas Turner RWA, whose soft, muted palette induces a sense of summer time nostalgia captured through an atmospheric haze of dry, subtly textured brushstrokes. Turner combines muted colour with simple definition of form to create subtly surreal depictions of fishing villages and comfortingly timeless rural scenes, each executed with a highly sophisticated use of light.
Studying for his degree at the University of the West of England in Bristol, Turner was elected as academician to The Royal West of England Academy in 2003. His works can be seen throughout the UK and are included in numerous private collections including The Royal Collection and RWA permanent collection.
