Date:
Wednesday, 30 November 2022 to Sunday, 18 December 2022

A group show of emerging and established London-based artists who work using analogue printmaking processes, curated by printmaker Adam Hogarth.

Participating Artists: Matthew Bennington, Abigail and Phebe Cameron, Lorenzo Davitti, Ellie Hayward,  Adam Hogarth, Daisy Jarrett, Jazmyn Maher, Karl Peter Penke,  Adam Shield & Thomas Whittle.

Transmission references the 1979 Joy Division song of the same title which served as a warning to those that obediently follow modernist mainstream media. All artists in the exhibition use traditional forms of commercial print distribution, be it etching or intaglio, screenprint, relief printing, lithography or the humble risograph machine. Like the Joy Division track, these artists celebrate the fragility and self-awareness of their own practice whilst warning of the obedience and subservience that modern mass media and commercial print seem to promote.

During the exhibition both framed and unframed work will be available to take away.

The exhibition will be accompanied by an Artist’s Talk on Saturday 10 Dec at 3pm. It’s free and open to all. Do come along.
