Using the idea of the caught moment as the central premise, Mary Chamberlain and Tim Steward take this in different directions in the location of Darl-e and the Bear. Occupying the whole ground floor, the central courtyard acts as a meeting point for their work between 17 Market Street & the Fire House Oxford Street.
Chamberlain looks at internal movement and the body through a series of abstract figurative paintings, and explores fragmented moments in her depictions of nature against an exposed background.
Steward examines the drama of place and external movement in response to the wild elemental forces of the north Cornwall coast through a series of drawings and paintings.
