A Note From the Artist:
"The portraits in this exhibit are drawn based on images of real-life educators working around the globe. Many I know personally, some are merely acquaintances, and others I know only from the pictures they sent me, which displayed their true emotions during the pandemic shutdown. As I drew these portraits, I felt each person's fear, despair, pain, and exhaustion. I also came to realize that this project is not just about teachers, but all essential workers sacrificing their safety and mental and physical health so that our communities may continue to function. I dedicate this project to all of those individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in honor of the greater good. May you always be remembered with love and gratitude."
