Since its inception more than three decades ago, Kingston Gallery has empowered its artist-members through opportunities to exhibit work, join a community of fellow artists, and participate directly in the gallery's operation.

Kingston periodically has openings for new members, and we welcome artists living and working in Greater Boston to apply for membership. Membership is quite competitive, with new artist-members being selected by a majority vote. Images of applicants' work are reviewed and voted on at the gallery's monthly meetings by all members.

Membership responsibilities include attending monthly meetings, staffing the gallery once each month, helping with the ongoing running of the gallery by joining a committee (administration, marketing, operations, treasury, etc), and dues of $120/month. A one-time commitment fee of $200 is payable upon acceptance as a full member.

Full gallery members receive a solo exhibition every two and a half years in the Main Gallery and a solo exhibition in the Kingston Project Space (a small space for new work) in alternating years.

Located in the heart of Boston's vibrant SoWa Gallery district, exhibitions receive numerous visitors and attention in both print and online publications, including Art New England, ArtScope, Big Red & Shiny, Boston Globe, the gallery's own Facebook and Instagram accounts, and our blog, Thinking About Art Out Loud.

We welcome artists living and working in Greater Boston to apply for membership. In the competitive process, new artist members are identified by a majority vote by existing members.
