On April 29th, the Pence Gallery will be open for a public art reception in conjunction with the 35th California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts (CCACA) hosted by the John Natsoulas Center for the Arts in Davis, CA. Stop by our Gallery from 6-9 PM to explore the art on display, browse the gift shop, and have some wine.
We will have two fantastic ceramic exhibits on display. On the Edge: CCA Clay features art by alumni and faculty from the California College of the Arts, an exhibit that pays tribute to artist Viola Frey (1933- 2004), who played a huge role in the Bay Area’s historic ceramic revolution. Life Whispers, Listen Carefully is a solo exhibit by Marsha Schindler which incorporates her sculptures into an installation that explores the connectivity between worlds – natural and human.
