The Consilience of Art & Science 2018

The Consilience of Art & Science is a bi-annual juried exhibit that explores the

intersection between art and science, and is coordinated by Pence Gallery and the UC

Davis Art/Science Fusion program. This year’s jurors are Jiayi Young, Assistant

Professor Design at UC Davis, and Helen Donis-Keller, Professor of Biology and Art at

Olin College of Engineering, Massachusetts. Jiayi Young’s current creative work is

focused on constructing data-driven interfaces, installations, real-time projection

graphics, and performances in public and cultural places. Helen Donis-Keller’s art is

driven by an appreciation for the natural world from the molecular level to the biosphere.
