The Pence Gallery will have a new exhibit opening on October 1st, Passion for Pastels. In the Sacramento region, there are a number of artists who work in pastel, and unlike with other media such as watercolor or oil, they have yet to have an exhibit that focuses on their talent with chalk. This show represents a variety of subjects created by the best in the region, and includes several award-winning pastel artists. Participating local artists include Naomi Bautista, Deborah Hill, Patricia Prendergast, and Marie-Therese Brown, among others.
