This Holiday season Gilman Contemporary will present “Vantage Points” an exhibition that celebrates the unique perspective our photographers, and painters bring to their work. Each of our artists bring a distinct interpretation of material and vision to their work. From small scale framed photographs by Jefferson Hayman to Jeri Eisenberg’s photographs of abstracted lily pads on panels of Kozo paper, we will show the breadth and depth of contemporary photography. With the neo-pop resin paintings of Greg Miller and the fluid, monochrome black oil painting of James Austin Murray we explore the diversity of each painter’s perspective. Each of these “vantage points” creates a dialogue between the viewer and artist, allowing for an expanded understanding of our visual world.
