Please join us Thursday November 3 as part of Laguna Beach ArtWalk. Head on down to Laguna Village to check out the art, live music and more.

Las Laguna Gallery is to present our most recent exhibition titled Oil and Acrylic Challenge.

Artists use many different mediums to create their works, but the two most popular mediums are oil and acrylic.

Oil paint is often considered a “great classic media”. Oil paint has been used for hundreds of years and has stood the test of time. Oil paint is slow to dry and allows for blending. It offers a depth that is difficult to achieve with acrylic paint.

Other artists choose acrylic paint as it dries quickly and unlike oil paint, acrylic is easy to clean up with soap and water. There is no need for solvents.

This unique Open Theme exhibition is designed to explore the differences and similarities between the two different mediums.
