Admist the chaos of politics and the climate crisis, many people have turned to meditative spiritual practices to seek inner calm to better manage the outer chaos. In Lotus position with eyes closed, we look for oceans of calm in our souls. Light in Motion, by neon artist Linda Sue Price, opening Saturday July 13 at TAG examines the tension between our inner and outer worlds.

The animated cast light from neon sculptures is manipulated to create a sense of tension or calm in the viewers bringing awareness to the daily stresses that dog us in our search for peace.

Linda has been creating mixed media neon sculpture using abstract shapes since 2004. She bends tubes free form without prepared patterns to better create individually unique pieces. Linda's particular interest is in the cast light of neon and works with textured and reflective backgrounds to produce layers of texture in the light.

Please join us on Saturday, July 13, 5-8pm at TAG Gallery for the opening reception of Light in Motion.
