Thinkspace Projects, a mainstay of the New Contemporary Art Movement, brings four new solo shows in April to their recently expanded space in West Adams that demonstrates emotional range and diverse subjects, from candy-fueled dreams to love stories gone wrong.

Gallery I - Ezra Brown: Trying to Keep it Together - debut solo exhibition, the artist uses his character ‘Happy the Clown’ as a reflection of himself coping with the world around us today.

Gallery II - Caroline Weaver: A Gummy Wormhole In The Sugar Dimension - a collection of oil paintings bringing viewers into a new state, surpassing nostalgia in pursuit of what the artist deems “Time Dilation Meditation from a made-up religion for Fatalists.”

Gallery III - Delisha: Sweet Dreams & Beautiful Nightmares - focusing on the “BEAUTIFUL MONSTER” in a series of child-like perspectives and narratives influenced by Bill Watterson’s comics and Dr. Seuss, Delisha explores children’s dreams and nightmares, their potential, and their sadness.

Gallery IV - Willem Hoeffnagel: Similarities - presented in collaboration with League OTO, the painter, born in the Netherlands, depicts recognizable figures that he has been portraying for more than a decade. He draws inspiration from the movements of others, gazing at strangers and those he knows, leaning into his personal reactions and feelings to fuel the figures he is known for.
