This show features only artwork made on oval shaped canvases. Reminiscent of the Victorian-era cameos popular with antique collectors, the oval canvas has a unique distinction. It is an unusual shape, not unlike the "shaped canvases" popular amongst artists working in New York for short period following the 1960s. However, it is the most common amongst canvases that break away from the traditional rectangle. Concept proposed by Sharon Volpe.
Produced by Con Artist Members this show will feature a diverse range mediums and styles. Centralized through the oval shape the viewer is able to decipher how each artist works across the canvas.
