Artist ( Description ):

Miki Kajita – Interested in myths, apparitions and thoughts on ‘life & death.’ Her works are based on her imagination and are untitled to encourage the personal interpretations of viewers. Her works were used by VOGUE in their April, 2016 issue.

Mayu Fujisawa – Graduated from Joshibi Junior College of Art & Design in 2007 and earned her Undergraduate Degree in Textile Design. In 2008, she complete her Honors course. Using pipe wrapping, a traditional Japanese handicraft technique, Mayu draws and then dyes pastel designs onto fabric. Her work emphasizes the similarities among Plants, animals, nature, the earth, society, politics, humans, religion, words, knowledge, images and thought, through her process.

Toru Kurita – Born 1963 (Fukuoka, Japan) where he currently lives and works. Graduated from Tama Art University in 1990 and earned his BA of Fine Arts as well as his Doctorate of Design from Kyushu University in 2010. He is heavily inspired by the “conditions” and “phenomenon” of his environment and his work consists of various materials and structures, that exist in space.

Jaime Maroney Villazon – As a Mexican artist, in impoverished conditions, Jaime rose above his situation- through art and self-expression. He is influenced by common things in daily places, connecting with his surroundings – this process awakens his consciousness to certain things which would otherwise remain dormant. He intends to inspire youths, helping them overcome their own problems.

Kengo Kanda – Born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan. His work was exhibited at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and had his first solo exhibition at Kobun Gallery, Tokyo in 2016. Kanda also obtained his medical license and graduated from Medical Department of National University in 2006 and began his career as a plastic surgeon in 2008.

Hisae Sasaki – Born in Akita, Japan and currently lives in Tokyo, Japan. Hisae Sasaki began her career as an assistant graphic designer in three design offices in Tokyo. In 2003, after a decade of working as an assistant designer, she became an independent-freelance designer, and started exploring and practicing calligraphy in 2005, and Japanese flower arrangement in 2008, which she unites in her three dimensional art work today. She has shown her artwork at solo and group exhibitions in NY, Paris, Tokyo.

Shinichiro Inui – Born in Osaka, Japan. Shinichiro Inui moved to America when he was 18 years old. He received a BFA at the University of  Oregon. Upon graduation, he moved back to Osaka. He established the fashion brand ‘Guernika’ in 2012 in order to help promote himself through arts and fashion. He painted a mural at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2014 in commemoration of their 25th anniversary after the fall of the Berlin Wall. His first solo exhibition was held in 2016 at Jadite galleries, NY. He puts two values which have opposite meanings into his artworks and creates contradictions in universal psychology.
