SLATE contemporary is pleased to announce our upcoming exhibition Day Trip: a two-artist exhibition featuring acrylic paintings by Kate Zimmer and tinted resin paintings by Lola. The title of the exhibition, references the vibrant optimism that the featured artworks evoke, as well as the growing sense of optimism in the country as we shed the weight of the pandemic and enter the summer season. Day Trip features paintings with bright colors, pathways and expanses of space that conjure the feelings of warm days and adventure. Day Trip will be on view at SLATE contemporary gallery June 3–July 31, 2021 with an Opening Reception Friday June 4th from 6-8pm.
