J. Mane Gallery is pleased to present its 2nd Urban Landscapes International Online Juried Art Exhibition.

Landscapes in art are about capturing spaces within our world.  Sometimes vast.  Sometimes microscopic.

For this competition we asked artists to take it to the streets and show us their best Urban Landscapes.  Artists were encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of the cities around them. The artwork varied from realism to surrealism to abstraction, and all media were accepted, including 3-D. All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their best inspired work. We had entries from the United States, Italy, Canada and Israel.

Each of our themed exhibitions, awards for First, Second and Third Place.  The First Place winner for the 2nd Urban Landscapes show is Andrew Engel for his oil, Old Buildings, New Shops. Andrew’s interpretation of the theme and his excellent command of the medium is what set his work apart. Andrew is also the Featured Artist for the next four weeks.

Taking Second Place is Guglielmo Botter for his pen and ink, Pittsburgh, PA Allegheny County Courthouse. Guglielmo’s use of the media and his overall composition of the of the piece make it interesting for the viewer. And, Third Place goes to Hall Jameson for her photograph, Birds Eye Skew.  The creativity with the perspective as well as her interpretation of the theme is what set Hall’s work apart.

Honorable Mention awards were given as well. Honorable Mention awards go to Kelly Coffey for Williamsburg Bridge, Leah Dockrill for Elm Street, Michael Duke for Florence, Italy, Lindsey Grant for Harlem Apollo, Daniel Kabakoff for Galleries, Izzy Kapetanovic for Winter City Reflections, John Laue for 19th Avenue Tunnel, Kenneth Ricci for The New Neighborhood and Toni Silber-Delerive for NYC Summer Terraces. Please visit the Monthly Winners Page to learn more about each of these award winning artists and to contact them directly about their work.

The remaining artists included in the exhibition serve as an example of impressive talent and we are honored to showcase their artwork on the J. Mane Gallery website.
