The Great California Paint Out! The Great California Paint Out! will be taking place from 9am to 3pm on September 21, 2013. This workshop gives participating artists an opportunity to paint in the entirety of downtown Davis in groups or individually. Those wishing to learn technique may work alongside one of ten master painters. Master painters include Marti Walker, Leslie Toms, Philip Gandiol, Chella Gonsalves, Philip Gandiol, Marie Therese Brown, Mike Bagdonas, Deladier Almedia, Louis La Brie and Myron Stephens. Artists of all mediums are welcome and any subjects available for observation are welcome. After the painting session is over, all participants work will be hung inside the John Natsoulas Gallery. There will be an opening reception from 7 to 10 pm, in which there will be a silent auction where the work will be sold. The master painters will then jury the work that is being exhibited and awards will be given out by the Utrecht Art Supply. There will be plenty of refreshments, live music and it promises to be a great evening for our artistic community and the art patrons of Yolo and Sacramento counties.
