Santa Barbara Studio Artists launch Year Round Studio Visits Program

Santa Barbara Studio Artists welcome Year Round Visits from individuals and groups.

 

Nearly 25 artists are participating in this new program. Art lovers can call participating artists to arrange a private visit at any time throughout the year. There is no cost for these visits, which are subject to the availability of the artists. Out-of-town guests and community groups are welcome to explore the working space of local artists in a wide variety of media.

 

Each artist’s name on www.SantaBarbaraStudioArtists.com is linked to their page with images of their artwork. Contact information is provided to make appointments.


Studios are organized by local geographical areas on the link to Year Round Visits, allowing for walking tours in some cases.

 

Santa Barbara Studio Artists are internationally known for their annual two-day Studio Tours in late August. The 12th Annual Open Studios Tour on Saturday, August 24th 2013 and Sunday August 25th from 11a.m. – 5 p.m. The Open Studios Tour features access to 40 private studios of Santa Barbara’s award-winning professional artists. The two-day self-guided driving tour steers visitors to artists’ studios through the stunning back roads, charming neighborhoods and estates of one of the most beautiful coastal cities in the world. Santa Barbara Studio Artists’ 12th Annual Open Studios Tour

Santa Barbara Studio Artists

 

Santa Barbara Studio Artists 12th Annual Open Studios Tour features access to 40 private studios of Santa Barbara’s award-winning professional artists. Tour guests will experience a wide variety of styles ranging from landscape, contemporary, and figurative painting to sculpture and assemblage. The two-day self-guided driving tour steers visitors to artists’ studios through the stunning back roads, charming neighborhoods and estates of one of the most beautiful coastal cities in the world. Related events include a month-long gallery preview exhibition, opening reception on August 1 and Artist’s reception on August 23.

Individuals and groups may also visit many of the artist studios on a year-round basis.

Other Info: 

Cost: Tickets are $18 if purchased on or before August 1, $20 August 1 and on, or $15 each when purchased in groups of two or more. Ticket price includes the Opening Artists’ Reception and the Tour. No ticket purchase is necessary to attend the Preview Exhibition Opening on August 1.
