Maidens, an international online solo collage art exhibition by Elizabeth de Wetter opens on March 10, and will continue for two months until May 10, 2024.
Elizabeth de Wetter art explores femininity, sexuality, and reclamation of our wild nature. As someone who is in recovery from an eating disorder, and deals with other mental health challenges and chronic illness, learning to accept her body has been a challenging journey for Elizabeth. Just as she has grown and healed back together, college allows her to consider how “broken” pieces may be made whole.

Artist:
Elizabeth Brooks de Wetter is a mixed-media artist from Snowmass Village, Colorado. Although she has been a life-long musician, she did not begin creating art until age 19, when she began using art to cope with mental and physical health challenges. After participating in a community art therapy group, she discovered the catharsis of creating work that was not just focused on being beautiful, but on expressing herself. For the last six years, she has not stopped creating and continues to spend her time doing what brings her joy including art, wild swimming, and spending intentional time with loved ones.
