Color and texture are Katy's tool to define, express and deliver emotional beauty in an artwork. As mentioned in her statement, color is the magic that excites her and moves her to paint. She combines color, texture and design to tell her stories. Her art explores life in motion, the unpredictable dynamics of fluid pigments in motion and the shapes and curves Ithat is created within the movement. For her abstract visual artwork is the perfect medium to communicate emotions, feelings and ideas that can not be expressed well in words.

Early art education at Chicago's Art Institute began my pathway to use the arts to enhance other's lives and my own. I am finally sharing my personal artistic talents with others. In the past, I worked as part of a team, producing film for many many years...and that was quite rewarding. Now, when I see a beautiful sunrise, or experience a crazy day....I paint the emotions and hopefully communicate. I hope my artworks evoke pleasure and joy for you.
