Please join us at the exclusive press preview for “Jean-Michel Basquiat” at Gagosian Gallery Hong Kong. Nick Simunovic, Managing Director of Gagosian Gallery Asia, will be present to meet with the media and provide an introduction to the first-ever major exhibition of Basquiat’s paintings in Hong Kong.

An acclaimed exhibition of the late artist’s work at Gagosian New York earlier this year drew tens of thousands of visitors, attesting to Basquiat’s acute relevance twenty-five years after his untimely death, at age 27. The exhibition will examine Basquiat's extraordinary life and feature important works from every year of his mature career. His work has been displayed in prestigious locations around the world including the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, Musée d’art moderne de la ville de Paris, and the Fondation Beyeler in Basel, Switzerland; however this will be the first time for the lesser known aspect of his oeuvre to be presented in Asia.
