At the Pence Gallery, we will have a new collection of artwork along the stairwell featuring an altered book series of cyanotypes by artist Linda Clark Johnson. These were inspired by her tranquil escape of relaxing and reading on summer afternoons. Each of the prints is a one-of-a-kind original, exposed outdoors in the sun using plants gathered from her own backyard. Linda used upcycled vintage book covers to mount the prints, giving them new life, and added collaged text from novels and textbooks to embellish the edges.
