Gilman Contemporary is pleased to present “September Sessions” an exhibition that celebrates our gallery artists. From the abstract geometry of Cecil Touchon’s graphic paintings to the joyous, fashionable photographs of Rodney Smith. Including select work from Laurie Victor Kay, Jane Maxwell, and Jill Lear. We are also pleased to introduce photographer Jefferson Hayman. Hayman’s still-lifes explore themes of nostalgia, common symbols and memories. The quiet images allows the viewer to create a narrative that is deeply personal. Each photograph is handcrafted as a silver gelatin, platinum or pigment print, capturing delicate tonality and refined light and shadow. Each piece is finished with a hand-crafted frame by Hayman, making each piece a true art object.
