In August at Partners Gallery, Carolyn Schneider is exhibiting new work in her show “Chimera Carnival”.

There’s a cartoon sensibility to Schneider’s carnival goers and promenaders.   Her characters are human/animal beings interacting with different aspects of our world, and in these works, her characters are off to the fair for the day and into the night.  Her studies of the Sphinx, in pastel, charcoal, or paint, are clustered together like those special fair exhibits.

There is a Second Saturday Meet the Artist evening, August 12th, 5 to 7 pm.

Gallery open Thursday to Monday, 11 to 5.

Artist ( Description ):

Schneider’s inspirations come from mythology, comics, graphic novels. Her work has been shown in Sacramento, Arizona, and Illinois. She now lives and works in Fort Bragg, CA.
