What: GR Gallery is thrilled to present “dysPOPia”, a group show featuring three artists whose creations explore and advance the discourse around a new interpretation of the figurative painting, investigating contemporary techniques and hype, up to date, affairs, mixed with a hint of genuine urban culture. The exhibition will feature recent works by three cutting edge artists from Spain, Italy and U.S.: Belin, Tommaso Bet and Adam Lister.

When: Opening reception: Thursday June 14th, 6:00pm - 9:00pm (Exhibition Dates: June 14th – July 14, 2018). Members of the press can contact GR gallery in advance to schedule a private viewing and/or an interview with the artists. Artists will be attending the opening night.

Where: GR Gallery, 255 Bowery (btw Houston & Stanton) New York, NY 10002

Who: Belin, Tommaso Bet, Adam Lister

Why: “dysPOPia” aims to reveal a new concept of figurative Pop-like art just born, and not yet precisely identified. Through the artistic output of 3 exceptionally gifted painters, the most craved icons and the latest trends of nowadays society, are depicted in an ambiguous way, scorned and praised at the same time. The use of esthetically brilliant and innovative techniques leads to a deep and ironic discussion about our community.
