Thursday, 1 March 2018 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Through paintings, drawings and three-dimensional works, Fahamu Pecou’s new exhibit, "Memory," depicts Blackness unbound - free from the confines and limitations of Western ideas around the Black body. Drawing from vintage magazines from the African continent, the works in the exhibition disrupt prevailing narratives of inferiority, poverty, and corruption which have primarily informed perspectives of Blackness both domestic and globally.
