Come see “Rhythm and Color,” a new exhibit of fine art enamels and paintings by artists Heny Alikashani, Mara Catherine Sippel and Nance Wheeler at Gallery House, 320 S. California Ave., Palo Alto, CA running from February 5th to March 2nd, 2019. An artist reception takes place on Saturday, February 9th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This event is open to the public and free.
Working in three different techniques and color palettes, Artists Alikashani, Sippel and Wheeler is sure to excite your eye with a broad array of rhythms and colors.
Heny Alikashani’s use of ancient art of enamel techniques yields jewelry and sculpture of unique art form. Her creative mark making expresses both her inner and outer world.
Mara Catherine Sippel’s wonderfully colorful paintings simplify form to emphasize the interplay of color masses. The scenes in her paintings translate our surroundings into comforting, idealized forms of hopes and dreams.
Nance Wheeler’s embrace of scientific images is evident in her abstract paintings. Using mixed media, Nance develops works with texture and tone to explore subtly rhythmic compositions engaging both sides of the mind.
