A VIBRANT ART EXHIBITION CELEBRATING NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH OPENS SEPT 1ST IN ORLANDO

Benefiting the Women in the Arts

ORLANDO, Fla. – Baterbys, Central Florida’s largest fine art dealer and premiere art gallery, is set to open its next exhibition this coming Fall. In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the exhibition entitled “Cultura de Color,” will run from September 1st to September 29th and will feature the works by world-renowned contemporary artists, 20th century masters, and local artists; all of whom share Hispanic heritage or, have found inspiration in Hispanic culture.

Viewers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in nearly 100 artworks created by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, Ferjo, Ivaldo Robles, Valentina Pereza, Clelia Benitez, and many more. A “Call to Artists” has been posted where local artists are invited to participate and submit their creations celebrating Hispanic culture and heritage. (https://baterbys.com/cultura-de-color-call-to-artist/) The collection of original paintings, numerous signed etchings, aquatints, linocuts, lithographs, photography, and mixed media works will be on display and made available for purchase during this exhibition.

National Hispanic Heritage Month, which is observed annually from September 15 to October 15, recognizes the presence and valuable contributions of the Hispanic and Latino communities in the United States. Started as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 under President Lyndon Johnson, President Ronald Reagan expanded and enacted into law on August 17, 1988 this cultural celebration to its current 30-day form. According to Richard Hart, Baterbys’ senior appraiser, “We are all very excited with this upcoming exhibition and we want to show everyone our whole-hearted support in celebrating the Hispanic arts and culture through this endeavor.”

Entry to the exhibition is a five dollar ($5.00) suggested minimum donation per attendee; children under the age of 12 will have the option to come in for free or also participate in donating. 100% of the exhibition ticket donations will benefit the Women in the Arts, a non-profit organization founded to recognize the work of women artists and bring education to the community. Baterbys is inviting everyone to view this upcoming exhibition and support one of the best community art organizations in Central Florida.

Exhibition entry donations can be made at the Baterbys’ Events page: www.baterbys.com/Cultura-de-Color/. Information about the exhibition and the Call to Artists can also be found on this page.
