Mirus Gallery is a dynamic exhibition space that features a program of contemporary artwork by emerging and midcareer artists in solo and group shows. The gallery highlights work that emphasizes skill and process and aims to engage viewers on a sentient, emotional and evocative level. In 2013 the artistinresidence program was initiated, further pursuing the gallery’s values of community and collaboration by providing a livein and onsite studio space for artists to create and exhibit work in a supportive environment, conducive to creativity. Mirus Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and on Saturday by appointment only, and located at 540 Howard Street in San Francisco’s SOMA District atop Paul Hemming’s eclectic building, which also houses Temple Nightclub and coworking space, ECOSYSTM.
