Artist’s statement

My paintings come from a point after

photorealism and minimalism, for I am drawn to

the intensity of photorealism and the detachment

of minimalism. My subjects are often banal and

trite as is my life and are scenes of my life. With

my paintings and through the process of making

them, I aim to study the relationship between the

scenes and me which is the phenomenon only I

can perceive as the scenes constantly change,
