Portraits, an international online solo painting exhibition by Donna Leigh Coupard, opens on July 06 and will continue through August 06, 2022.
Dancer, historian, therapist, and painting artist; Donna Coupard was hit by MS when she was known to people as "Donna the dancer". It changed her life tremendously, and as she mentioned in her statement, stroke by stroke, she started to study the art on her walls, watched light and shadow, line and color, and it was the beginning of a new journey. She had to train her hands and reimagine beauties around her like vegetables from the farmers' market and flowers from her gardens. When able, she voraciously attended Open Studios and spoke with artists about their process and "Donna the Artist" was born.
In the Portraits exhibition, she captured the tenderness of people and flowers.

I am a Boulder, Colorado based artist who primarily creates portraits of people and flowers. While acrylic is my long-time medium, I have recently added layers of oil and soft pastel.
