The solo art exhibition “Domestic Nightmares” by Valerio Aschi, curated by Velia Littera will be opened on 4th April at 18 pm at PAVART art gallery in Rome.
"My artworks are like little domestic games in which I search for a further, possible nature of objects, which always exists. While working in an art studio you will always get dirty with paints or different materials; making artworks come alive means to contaminate its surface with your own daily-routine..." says the artist.
In this synthesis of reality, we can find the key to Aschi's artworks whose research is to make objective his subjective points of view. Observing his own everyday life in its normality becomes the game of the artist because it becomes sometimes abnormal. That is why ordinary things as socks, frying pans and coffee cups become instruments to tell us about another dimension, where the light touches the form and turns it into a painting, into domestics nightmares.
