Ellie English and Doomed Gallery Present DRIFT - 7th / 9th and 10th September.

With a predominant interest in sexuality and how individuals come together to connect,
Ellie English's first solo exhibition explores what value we place on intimate interactions. Through the practice of photography,
English's work acts as a means of building bridges and creating a space in which important questions are raised & conversation is provoked.

English's work documents the experience of wandering from lover to lover while opening a window to the viewer
into the world of non-monogamy relationships as a young woman from a sex positive perspective.

Working with only an instax mini, English's work is a large collection ofprints, each one physically feeling like it was part of the moment.
Within her work there's a sense of play happening between the images, they feed off of one another.

The individuals photographed remain mostly anonymous through out English's work even with her self being on both sides of the camera.
The familiar feels somewhat abstracted & the boundary lines between states of public & private are being pushed at.

This exhibition is supported by Doomed Gallery, London.
