Lacey Contemporary Gallery is proud to present Mikala Valeur’s SALON JARGON this December 2015. The exhibition will feature a selection of unique posters created for Valeur’s new book ‘Salon-Jargon’ to be launched for the first time during this special exhibition at Lacey Contemporary, ahead of it’s December release in Denmark.

Contemporary Artist, Mikala Valeur was born in 1972 and lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. Valeur`s art has a twisted humour with a serious overtone. The artworks can be consumed in different ways, both as interactive sculptures and installations, as well as purely visual objects. The materials Valeur uses are the inspiration for the construction of her works, which inspires different angles of shapes, contents and structures. Valeur works with Installations, collages, sculptures and light objects. For this exhibition however, she is presenting a series of illustrated posters which are featured in her first published book – SALON JARGON – will be launched in Denmark later this year.

Valeur has participated in several editions of the Sculpture by the Sea festivals in Denmark and Australia. She has exhibited in solo and Group exhibitions in France, Holland, New York and Denmark. Valeur has received several awards over the years, including The Spinifix Thrust Artist Subsidy, The Crowe Horwath Artist Subsidy and The Kids Choice Prize (Australia), and The Founding Directors Award (Denmark).
