This April a new four-day art festival opens in Wood Green, North London, with an art exhibition showcasing the work of twenty local contemporary artists, a series of free art workshops aimed at families to enjoy in the Easter holidays and an outdoor art market on the final day of the festival.
Around fifty artists will be involved in the festival, either exhibiting in the art exhibition, leading workshops or hosting a stall at the art market, with the majority from Haringey. The art exhibition runs for the duration of the four days, in a spacious, bright third-floor gallery space owned by Green Rooms, above the popular Oita Kitchen, who will be exhibiting some artworks within their restaurant . The workshops and the final day art market will both take place in the colourful and characterful Blue House Yard. There’ll be an eclectic range of art for sale from painters and printmakers, photographers and sculptors.
The programme of free art activities will include a Chinese calligraphy workshop, a session on collage making and printmaking, all led by professional artists and aimed at families and big kids alike. A full programme will be released two weeks prior to the event on the Citizens Art Festival website
