The City of San Mateo presents work by the Peninsula Women’s Caucus for Art.  Breaking Ground, which opens on March 11 at the San Mateo City Hall Gallery, will exhibit work by Beate Amler, Lorraine Capparell, Grace Cohen, Kris Idarius, Patricia Keefe, Annamaria Kusber, Rebecca Lambing, Ellen Lee, Tanya Lin, Marie LaPrade, Nancee McDonnell, Alysanne McGaffey, Yvonne Newhouse, Irene Schlesinger, Bonnie Smith, Deanna Taubman, Leigh Toldi and Marian Yap.

The whole world comes alive after winter. In March the world awakens with color and the scent of aromatic greenery. This is a time to renew the excitement and zest for the life within.

About the Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA)

Founded in 1972 in connection with the College Art Association (CAA). It is a national member organization unique in its multi-disciplinary, multicultural membership of artists, art historians, students, educators, and museum professionals. WCA is committed to recognizing the contribution of women in the arts, providing women with leadership opportunities and professional development, expanding networking and exhibition opportunities for women, supporting local, national and global art activism and advocating for equity in the arts for all.
