Founded in 1966, Anderson Ranch Arts Center is a premier destination for art making and critical dialogue, bringing together aspiring and internationally renowned artists to discuss and further their work in a stimulating environment.
Its mission is to enrich lives with art, inspiration and community. The 5-acre campus is open year-round and hosts extensive summer workshops for aspiring, emerging and established artists, children and teens in eight disciplines, including Photography & New Media, Ceramics, Painting & Drawing, Furniture Design & Woodworking, Sculpture, Printmaking and Digital Fabrication. Leading the way in technology with state-of-the-art studios, paired with world-renowned faculty and speakers, the Ranch is known internationally as a place for artists to engage with the community and create impactful work. Public events include virtual and in-person lectures with esteemed visiting artists, collectors and art world luminaries, as well as gallery exhibitions, art auctions and community celebrations. Visitors are welcome to tour the campus year-round and enjoy the outdoor sculpture exhibition, lunch in the Ranch Cafe and shopping in the carefully curated ArtWorks Store. The Ranch hosts signature programming throughout the year including the Summer Series, Featured Artists & Conversations lectures featuring acclaimed contemporary artists, a Recognition Week that celebrates creativity and service to the arts by recognizing the accomplishments of key figures in the art world, and an Artists-in-Residence Program that fosters artistic growth for emerging and established visual artists.
