A selection of abstract paintings, collages and assemblages by the late Argentine artist Roberto Pignataro (1928-2008), will be shown in Sonoma Valley, including works from the late 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
The exhibition will be open to the public Friday, Jan 7th through Sunday, Jan 9th, 2022 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in the charming “Gallery 212” showroom at the Sonoma Community Center on 276 E Napa St, less than two blocks from the historic Sonoma Plaza.
This event also presents an opportunity for the public to learn about the 1960’s Argentine art scene, with Pignataro’s work representing the talent and passion of a generation producing art in an era of intense socio-cultural change and political turmoil.
